Nicholas W. Stuller – President & CEO

Nick is a 24 year Wall Street veteran, having spent 20 of those years supporting advisors and institutions. He is considered one of the foremost authorities on financial advisor databases. His most recent  seven years were spent as Founding Employee and CEO of Discovery Databases, where he built and managed an industry dominant advisor directory. Prior to Discovery, Nick held senior business development roles at National Regulatory Services (a division of Thomson Financial), as well as TD Ameritrade. He started his career as a registered representative with Smith Barney.


T. Gary Liberman, CPA, CFA – Founder & CFO

Gary has worked with institutional money management firms for the past 17 years. Prior to founding Meridian-IQ, Gary was COO and Head of Marketing for a quantitative hedge fund. Before that, he was a senior technology analyst with JP Morgan Chase for 13 years. Gary formulated an original business plan for a database of Advisors in 2006, following his observation that there were unsolved needs in the Advisor Database space.



Larry Light – Editor in Chief

Larry Light is a well-known financial journalist with more than 30 years of experience at top publications. His latest book is the nonfiction investment title TAMING THE BEAST (John Wiley & Sons). As former senior editor for investing at Forbes magazine and deputy personal finance editor at the Wall Street Journal, he has won many journalism awards. He also has been a reporter and editor at Business Week and Newsday. He now writes a blog called "Advice on Advisors" for Forbes, and is a contributor to the Journal and Barron's. He is a lieutenant colonel in the Army Reserve.


Craig D. Katz – SVP, Institutional Sales

Craig has been working in the financial industry for 12 years, with the majority of his career focused on helping firms serving the financial intermediary channels utilize information to maximize their distribution, marketing and recruiting efforts. Prior to joining Meridian-IQ as SVP, Institutional Sales, Craig spent over 7 years with Discovery Databases. As their second employee Craig was instrumental in growing the firm into the industry leading database provider. Before Discovery, Craig spent 4 years as Sales Director for Farley Business Magazine Specialists where he covered national advertising sales for the Journal of Financial Planning- the flagship publication of the Financial Planning Association (FPA).


Alexander Liberchuk – SVP, Data Operations

Alex leads the firm’s data operations, bringing 12 years of unique experience that blends strategic business planning with hands-on experience in raw database analytics. Prior to joining Meridian-IQ, Alex held roles of increased responsibility with Citigroup and American Express, overseeing different components of commercial credit card data analysis and leading his teams in development of optimization models to achieve credit and revenue targets. Alex holds an MBA in Finance and Operations Research from Carnegie Mellon, a Masters degree in Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology, and a Bachelors degree in Engineering from Moscow Polytechnic Institute.


Kent T. Schmeckpeper – SVP, Operational Marketing & Product Development

Kent brings to our team over 20 years of financial service experience. In the two years prior to joining Meridian-IQ, Kent was the general manager of ("FAM"), a ground-breaking, Web 2.0-based advisor directory and social media community bringing investors and advisors together. Kent oversaw all aspects of FAM’s product management, sales and marketing. Prior, Kent led the product management effort at Comprehensive Software Systems, a 150+ person startup that developed next-generation securities trading software. For the bulk of his career, Kent was involved in strategic marketing and product development at leading financial services firms including Jackson National Life, INVESCO Funds, PNC Institutional Management, and Kemper Funds. Kent holds an MBA from the University of Michigan, and completed the Project Management Certification program at the University of Denver.


James T. Rush – SVP, Key Accounts

Jim has been working in the financial services industry for over 17 years, with the majority of his career focused on working with Financial Advisors from around the country. He has used his experience and knowledge of the industry to help Financial Advisors from a product standpoint as well as value added information to help with their businesses. Prior to joining Meridian-IQ, Jim spent the last 3 ½ years as National Sales Director – RIA Channel, for Century Capital Management based in Boston, MA. Prior to Century Capital Jim worked at Eaton Vance for 7 years as a National Wholesaler in the RIA Channel. Jim began his career at Scudder, Stevens and Clark in 1993 working in various roles including sales, marketing and client service.
